Ha ha! I actually slept last night! I woke once, but only for a moment. I seem to only sleep at all when Duckling is in the house. Last night was a fluke.
You have become a different person on here since I dug you out a while back (when I PMed you to threaten you if you didn't pop in).
Another full day of work. I really do need stock win zip ties. I only got one finished, but at least I was able to move the S&G boys (the messiest of the bunch) out this evening. Here are some photos (before I finished tacking the apron down). This is the cleanest this coop will ever look, of course. I moved them to the roost after dark. No idea how easy it will be for them to get up there - they may need a ramp. (Big boys!)
Three more to go. I worked on the next one until I lost the light. Then I gathered eggs by headlamp, finding Trinity (my black NN) trying to sleep in the nest box - I SO don't have time for dealing with a broody... Put her on the roost, put the S&Gs up on the roost, and then was so tired that I just had camping food for dinner (Mountain House Chicken & Dumplings). I don't think I've sat down since 7:30am... Too tired for a bath, but not an option. Heres hoping I don't fall asleep in there...
I'm actually seriously considering just waiting the conversion out rather than setting up on Bang Your Head... So much to do. (I also have to clean out the fridge - but not tonight.)
Good morning all - I'm pleased to report that this morning I have 10 healthy fluff balls . That's 100% hatch rate on my first hatch in 14 years. They are truly adorable. Thanks for the help and advise x
A FINAL GOOD MORNING TO ALL OF YOU. I WAS KINDA HAPPY (NO RUSH TO OPEN THE COFFEE SHOP BEFORE 8:00) A SECOND AGO, BUT NOW I AM ACTUALLY TEARY. YOU GUYS HAVE KEPT ME SANE(ISH) FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS OF THIS HECK I HAVE BEEN LIVING THROUGH. I WILL MISS YOU TERRIBLY.
OK, so I checked my eggs this morning, and I'm worried about that brown egg, it's got at least 2 more with marks on the air cell area, and nothing has chaged for them membrane area
Remember Chief Bigheart? I worked for a lawn care/landscaping company one summer when I was in school. He & his good-looking blonde wife were out on their 2nd floor patio one afternoon, grilling one of the biggest, thickest steaks I've ever laid eyes on.
No, but that's awesome! He'd been before my time, bet my grandfather watched him though. He always watched that crap. Took all us grandkids to watch them once, mid 80s had great close up seats. All of the most famous one's of the time were there except for Hulk Hogan. Andre just came out at the end to save someone and toss everyone else out of the ring.
Quote: Bigheart would have been in the 50's, along with Arnold Skoland, the tag team of Don Curtis & Mark Luin, Gorgeous George, the 601lb. Haystacks Calhoun, and a slew of others I can't recall the names of. I was glued to the tube, too.
