Ha ha! It is always cold and dark there. When we are there in the summer the sun comes out from behind the clouds for like 1 hour a day and I run outside to soak up the rays, lol.

Meanwhile, I had a visitor in the front yard today. One of the neighborhood's feral peafowl. (Yes, I know, I need to mow...) She was away from the flock - I wonder if it's the same one that has hung out here before. (Makes me wonder if she might consider laying eggs and brood on my property.)

Keep putting off the mowing & you're just liable to find out if she'll brood on your property

Wild birds instinctively seek out heavy cover for nesting as protection against predators. This one may do the same.
