EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Ducks are in lockdown, 5 left that aren't 'sploded. The one with the decent CAM looks like its bill is pushing against the membrane, so maybe I'll get one!! :fl

Also, I have more ducklings coming soon. I reserved them last year and the very day I figured they had forgotten about the order & gotten some from the feed store, guess what? They replied saying they were ready for pickup.

In all seriousness, it is good to work on your spelling, because people will often make assumptions about someone's intelligence (which may not be correct) based on misspellings, and when you get older, misspellings in important documents or communications can cause trouble. It'll come, you're learning, but do work on it.

Many of us type fast and make mistakes - there's an edit button for your posts, and you can go back and correct something if you need to. I do it all the time when I find a spelling or grammar error in what I post (I always take a quick second to check). And while my spelling is pretty good, if I'm not sure, I always take a minute to look something up quickly (Google, etc.) to make sure I'm spelling it right, or using the word correctly (and I'm in my 40s with several academic degrees!). I actually think being online has the potential to improve writing skills a lot more than when I was a child when no one wrote letters but email wasn't invented yet. I'm just glad I don't have to voice type like some do - those posts can be really messed up.

As Liz said, we're a raucous group, and if it sounds like we're picking on you , it's never meant to be mean or hurtful. Tell us if you want us to stop. :thumbsup

(I just looked up raucous to be sure I was spelling it right. I was, but still...)

My mom had a saying, I'm just gong to qoute her (Note: All spelling below is correct and intenonal)

"Bad spellers of the world UNTIE, I mean unite"

Oh but you have backspace my friend!:D
and an edit button :P
Morning all! Hellos and hugs to everyone. I haven't been doing the quote thing as much/quoting everything on read back because the message editor is a pain to deal with in HTML. (Wish it was WYSIWYG like the old version. Also wish it would quote a thread. Think I'll ask.)

:lau

Speaking of funny speaking people... Duckling has a southern drawl periodically throughout the day since yesterday.
