Did you know that when I was a child , we used the chickens intestine as fishing bate, it never fell from the hook and the fish was frantic on it. But know you can't find, by low, a whole chicken, so no more bate!

That is a brilliant idea - I haven't been fishing in forever, but I'm totally remembering that when I do next. :thumbsup

Maybe once I'm well enough again to do more than make sure the kids are not killing each other. I think I'm gonna sleep for a month.

Do you need me to conk you on the head again?

That stock looks so good!!

And as for the joey, yeah...I'm really bumbed and still pretty depressed about the whole thing. I feel like it was my fault :( I guess it hurt a lot more too because the two Joeys I had before I got Maxy, they had seizures, refused milk and then died....I was really close to Zimba (one of the joeys who had seizures and died) so it really tore a piece of my heart.

That would be great, I love sharing Joey pics...hopefully, I will get some more joeys soon.

:lau Love that caption! Puppy sure looks like a.....trouble maker (but acts like an angel)...:love

That's got to be rough work to do. :hugs

Puppy CLIMBS out of her paddock whenever she wants so she can graze all over the acre wherever she wants (wings are clipped, but she actually scales the fence). I've given up trying to contain her, but I made sure to hatch her eggs this spring so that I have some of her babies in case a hawk gets her. She's led a charmed life so far.

I am actually hoping to get one of those planted in my yard one day. :D

Wings are ready to go in the oven as soon as the bread is done. (This all ended up going a lot later than planned - gonna be a late night, I think.)

It is.....but it is worth it, you just gotta have a really strong heart.

Aha, that is one smart chicken! I have a chicken like that....clipped wings but that doesn't stop her. I would love to see her chicks! Bet they would be cute.

Everything looks good, your cooking bread too? But hey! I love that sign in the background!

Forgot to ask.....is that tree in your back yard?

If you want a brand don't compromise choose the Medjoul!
But you need at least 2! Because there are female and male trees!

The guy who we got our Paw Paw trees of said the female tree won't fruit unless you have a male, so when our first Paw Paw tree (and only at the time) started to fruit it was pretty awesome......it gives us a lot of fruit.

And we have a lot of Paw Paw trees because of that tree, so pretty happy with it..i guess trees have a mind of their own.

Sadly no, I have a palm tree that I got with the house, but the previous owner was not smart enough to plant a date palm, he planted a unuseful but beutiful! Canary Palm!

It could be fertilized by pollen from a tree that was on one of your neighbor yard.
