Ahh I usually spend my summers in Maine. But some of them have been just as humid. And what the hell do y'all feed those mosquitos?!!! They are like flying fire ants. Last trip I left there with a rash that didn't go for 11 mos. Docs around here just gave , me the doxycycline I requested and shrugged.

I'm kind of from all over-- my family was transient until New Orleans (always be home). Then, I married military. Born in Va, lived in Minnesota, Ca, Japan, NJ, FL. Seems time to balance things out. I need some Mid-West or just West.

You need to come back to Minnesota and see if you can pass the entrance exam for living in a rural area here..

It is like heaven on earth, most days, Temps average 60-65 degrees year round. We have no mosquitoes. Banana season is mid may until October. Nothing is as good as a banana straight from a Minnesota Banana tree.

We have a lot of lakes and in rural Minnesota the common sunfish is about 20 inches long! It is why Paul Bunyan and Babe stayed here their entire lives. No other place could handle them because of their size. Paul was a little rough on the forests but most have recovered now.
