Hi sweets! Oh got a pic for you!!
RALPHIE CLOSE YOUR EYES
eEEEEE. So big and webbed. They're not babies any more.
what pmYou get my PM, sunshine?
Huh, one of my chickens was dead in my yard by my front door. She had no obvious injuries, and no one was out there that could have done it. None of the other birds were acting like something was in the yard that didn't belong. She wasn't bloody and no marks on her. I suppose it's possible a barn cat pounced on her and broke her neck, but she was darn near fullsized. It doesn't make sense they'd go after a fullsize chicken.
Hi everybody. Rough day today-sleep and pain. so much to do but can't. Bill got both coops cleaned, the garage cleaned and organized and now the basemen cleaned-with a weekHe is awesome
@Pensmaster & @Fire Ant Farm I got some naked necks. Just hatchery stock (I saw Snape and Puppy and fell in love
) Got them and a couple other breeds from Strombergs and I have to say I was very happy with them. Sent 5 extra chicks and they are all extremely healthy.
Want to do stuff but its not gonna happen. They did say Sunday is the day of rest right? @daxigait & @kajira sorry for your losses
& @duluthralphie I can completely agree-its always the "good bird" hat seems to kick the bucket with no explanation
. Hope everyone else is well.

Which took it down to what, 70?![]()
Well it's 70* now. Got to get back out and brave the cold.
He actually does have mites. I just dusted him with DE yesterday and he still had the DE covering his feathers. I'm thinking of putting a clove of garlic in his water too. I'm just wondering if this breed is super clumsy. How long does it take for his comb and waddles to come in? He was given to us I do know he came from Omega hills. I'm just not familiar with this breed. I've heard that they are really slow to mature.
Hey folks! I'm kinda sorta back. I've been trying to take some time to get better. I was basically told that I have an unidentified virus that caused an Upper Respiratory Infection and a Sinus Infection within 2 days of contracting it. The fevers finally stopped 3 days ago and I'm getting better, but I'm still coughing hard enough to make my chest and arms hurt. It's sucked, but I'm finally getting over it.
In other news, I lost my Polish chick. It's like everytime my SIL gets attached to one of my birds, it dies. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I suspect it just failed to thrive. Or I just really suck at raising Polish like I suck at raising Silkies. This is the second Polish I've had that didn't survive to adulthood. The first one (a little splash hen named Ugly Chicken) was pecked to death by an EE boy when they were young and I wasn't home.
I still can't ID most of the chicks. I do think I have some Marans, but I'm really hoping that's what some of the barred chicks are. I don't need more BRs I can't even give away. The chicks are about to be shuffled around. I'm fixing up the unused pen for the grow outs to live in until they're old enough to free range with the 'flock'.
Murders? Buster, it's the ENGLISH language... And the English people spell almost the same as we do. So nananananaa.
