Not sure they would deal well free ranging as they are not smart. Not a problem here as any free ranging chook would be bobcat lunch pretty fast. The wildlife take small dogs and any house cats that get out around here.

great news!!!Ideal has finally got back to me, so good to know, they are MIA over the weekend... they are going to refund cost of chicks and shipping as replacement wouldn't survive in such a small amount of chicks... Works for me, I'm still sad for the cuties who passed though.

do you know how ridiculous it is, that it took me 30 minutes to convince my goat to cooperate to be milked since I don't have a stand and it's a two person job to hold/milk her right now?
My husband had better get my milking stand built tonight or he's gonna get his butt kicked.
