EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

@Fire Ant Farm

Had a repeat scan today, they saw evidence of MAYBE 1 sac, with a possible 2-3 more in there, they aren't sure. She wouldn't be at all surprised if it's "at least twins" - she couldn't say they WERE sacs, just that it's possible what we saw were sacs in there.

Dr's gonna give me a copy of pictures after our apt, I go in 30 minutes for the follow-up.
I'll know more for sure by june 30th, but I have another scan the 27th on tuesday with a follow up friday to check for heartbeat(s)

Awesome! :fl

Well results from the exam are in. Failed by THREE points. I'm going to wait until course schedules and signups begin again in August and if they end at a reasonable time (NOT when I'm due) I'll retake it right away.

I'm sorry about the exam... glad you can retake it.

Kajira,
That is a difficult subject [selective reduction] when you have obviously worked so hard to get this far. I sincerely hope it goes smoothly & you don't have to make that decision.

I missed the last 200+ messages. I haven't kept up during my crazy work schedule. I think this thread is the most active one I've seen since the conversion!

I do have a question on my LF Cochins that hatched a couple days ago. Of the dozen eggs, there were only 4 that developed. They all hatched beautifully.--- There was one that struggled a tad. It had been the first to pip externally (very high on the large end) on day 20 but after the other 3 were out, it still hadn't progressed-- malpositioned. I assisted with some of the zipping and a little coconut oil, popped her back into the bator and she was out by morning, with the rest.

I don't see a Cochin thread. Could y'all give me some input on color?

I'm thinking blue splash & blue. But is that pattern gold Laced ?

Right now, it looks like twins, maybe triplets at the most (crossing fingers) if there's only 2-3 we won't even be discussing it as an option ;)

Beautiful chicks.

Thank you.
I was thinking it had to be multiples with your HCG. Twins would be awesome! lol easy for me to say ;)

I've had twins before, at 24w1d. One died at 3 weeks old. I couldn't convince my doctor to give me progesterone, (even though I had an angry uterus and needed it with my singletons.) because it was "contraindicated in multiple pregnancy"

Don't really care what *studies* show - my body needs it, so i'll be fighting tooth and nail to get progesterone support this pregnancy. :(
