EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Third chick is out. I think that's all I'll get out of this batch.

Well that beats my last hatch. One out of 30. Temps too low on my part fully developed late quitters. Had to buy :hide some chicks to keep the lone one happy.
One of the two I bought is obviously a rooster by size default.

They are same age

Hi Dan, I am glad you got a few though. How are the goats
Me too.

Some are good some aren't. We had a doe miscarry last night, we didn't even know she was bred, she's not feeling so good at the moment. We're not sure why she miscarried though my sister thinks it's a selenium deficiency. If she was bred though I'm almost positive most the other Does are. Looks like we might have a lot of August babies.

Hi Pensmaster!
102 doesn't sound pleasant.
Especially if adding Dax humidity but ours is only 42% this morning and that will go down by the time it's 102. Yesterday was 108 so I'm liking the trend. There are times when the temps at night don't go below 80's that's when it gets ugly. Not that 100 plus is fun. I don't like anything over 90. Adding in your humidity and that 90 number would come down significantly.

YEs, the trend is going the right way, but has a long way to go.
