Howbout a NOPE to that one?

I normally love my mother in law, but she favors my oldest because she feels sorry for him - but that favoring has made him more of a jerk than he already is at times.

I love my kid, but he does some of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Things my 3 year old wouldn't even do and would face palm over.

If we didn't protect him, he probably would have offed himself from sheer stupidity, like walking into a street in oncoming traffic, or breaking his neck on the back of a horse because he has no common sense. lol (he threw himself off a horse once, after getting on the horse in the first place in boxers and cowboy boots. He said he didn't know it would hurt if he hit the ground... and he fell like a sack of bricks and didn't even try to catch his fall.)

He wanted to "scare" me......... I wasn't scared, I was so shocked at the stupid, all I could say was, "I hope you learned not to ever do something that dumb again, you could have broken your neck."

He's now scared of horses, because he realizes falling off them, hurts.... :/ *faceplants*

Did you know that he got a tooth kicked out by a goat? He likes to milk the goats, but he always sticks his head under their legs to look at the udders when he's milking, despite being told like 50000x not to stick his head down under them, he's been kicked in the head 100's of times now, and once got kicked in the mouth hard enough to loose a canine tooth.

Luckily, i think it was one of his last remaining baby teeth, otherwise, he's going to be very goofy looking with a missing tooth.

I still haven't figured out why he has to stick his head under their feet.

I apologize but right when the site went down for the upgrade (ha!), my computer went down. By the time I got it going, the new site was up and I got terribly busy. Spring and early summer are always busy but during that time, one of my best friends became hospitalized and almost died. I took over her business till she got well. My kids were in 3 car accidents - totaling their cars and mine. None their fault. My son was on his way to work sitting at a red light. A car rear ended him sending him into cross traffic, destroying both the backend and frontend.
My daughter was on her way home from work at 2AM and there was an accident on the interstate. Traffic was at a standstill when an SUV rear ended her and exited the off ramp leaving the scene.
My son borrowed my car till he got paid for his car. He works downtown and has to park at a meter. During his shift he went out to feed the meter. As he was walking back to work he heard an accident behind him. Turning around he saw the two cars slam into my parked car. And of course the guilty party was insured.

Just didn't have time to try to figure out how to negotiate the site. I miss a lot of the old features and really don't like the new functionality.
Where is the thing that says this is post #1201 of 1253? I hate having to scroll to the bottom of the page to know where I am in a thread.
Where is the box that says who is viewing?
Why does it no longer say if a poster is online?
Where's the popup that says there are new posts in this thread?
And why is this thing so dang slow?
I'll be typing away and it takes forever to show up on the screen.

While I'm on a rant, the weather is really going to suck this week.
We had a couple 100 degree days last week and one night it never dropped below 85 at night.
Only 96 today but the rest of the week will be between 101 and 103 with extreme humidity.

I was just typing and only half the word showed up. This has happened a lot. It takes me about twice as long to type a post as it used to because of all the corrections I have to make. It just isn't worth the time.

I am not going to lie - I definitely miss the old forums, and a lot of old posters are no longer posting here, since the changes I know they felt the need to upgrade them, but I feel like it effectively culled a lot of regulars from posting.
