Parenting has been a headache the last few days. Duckling has spilled about a gallon of cool aid. I bought a multicolored rug for the living room knowing stains happen. First spill last evening had me bringing baking soda into the living room. The second (I flipped out that time!) even covered a $$ light tan recliner. When life calmed down, she kept complaining about a boo-boo all over her leg. I used a dishcloth to try to get the "boo-boo" off. I was expecting the bio parents soon, and could not bathe her. Goodness knows they wouldn't have bothered before church! I spotted the baking soda, and... the cool aid wiped right off!

I just need to install roosts and make nest boxes, and I'll be able to move the chooks to the temporary coop. Then comes the lovely fun of taking all the shingles off the old one & burning the frame.

Just torch the whole sheebang; the heavy black smoke will dissipate eventually.
