EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

 I'm afraid I have no amazing adventures to report on, sadly.

I've just been busy dealing with life... working, taking care of my terminally ill father, sick puppy and because I didn't have enough going on, I decided to rip up all my carpet and install new flooring on my own (something I've never done), which then turned into needing to paint, and then decided the kitchen needed some updates too...almost done re-doing things in the house just in time for school to start back up for my girl in a few weeks. Summer has flown by.

On a bright note, I have all of my different age chickens integrated into one flock again! :ya

 That's certainly amazing in a :bow kind of way!
Sorry about your sick father and pup. :hugs
:hugs Oh, no, sorry about the duck also.:hugs

:thumbsup Good news about the flock integration.

Did you learn the hard way to paint before laying down new flooring?

Amazingly enough, I thought ahead enough to paint first and do floors after. HOWEVER, I did learn the hard way to count the boxes of flooring BEFORE beginning, as Home Depot shipped several half empty boxes and damaged flooring that was unusable! I also learned the hard way that just because everything looks fine above the carpet, ripping up the carpet does allow for you to find disasters like ROTTEN SUBFLOORS sometimes. I wanted to throw in the towel then, but got it figured out!

True, I could do that, but I'd be lying to you. When you coming back this way?

:D

Hopefully before it is a crazy arctic freezer again! (I am not able to go too far away from home at this point with my father in the condition he is in.) Some days I can barely leave home to come to work.

I hate surprises on extensive & expensive projects
