EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

My neighbor hates the automatic turners. She says she has much better hatches with turning by hand.

Can you say "nutso" In a nice way?

Touching each egg daily with your dirty hand?? Ewwwww Germs!!!

Even opening the incubator 3 times a day??? Humidity loss and germs!!Ewwwww

I think this one is another Chickeneers Myth. There are lots of them.

Could be but she got rid of turner after saving for it and went back to hand turning.

Does not change the fact there are a lot of strange myths with chickens that many people swear by.

I, being Mr NceSweetKind&Considerate just politely nod my head and say "uh-huh" to all these myths....... Then laugh to myself while playing guess the IQ,,,,:lau:lau:lau:lau:oops::oops::oops::oops::oops:

I couldn't do without my turners. There's no way id be turning them all by hand lol. I feel like the slight jostling then get in the turner helps make them stronger.

As for broodies, I don't trust them with anything! If I want something to hatch, it goes in the incubator.
