Speaking of fermented foods. Dad used to make a sweet/sour tomato relish that he kept on counter in gallons jar covered with cheesecloth. I'm assuming that was a fermented relish correct?

Good morning. Woke up to Hoot Owl and something he may have caught. Apparently it didn't die right away.

Most likely! I'm going to be trying a lacto-fermented hot sauce next year with some of our chilis as an experiment in addition to my regular sourdough bread that I make every week or so. Kombucha is really popular but I hate the flavor. :sick

I was ok with Kombucha just not :yesss:
The relish on the other hand was delicious, the older it got the better. I think we may have the recipe I'm going to go back through the notes.
Does fermenting dull the hot peppers?
