Definitely supposed to be going into the 20s by now, not staying in the 30s. Oh well, I'll take it as a sign that I get extra time to finish the coop, eh?

Sure do. Only issue is it's about 1/2 the size of the coop.

I see no risk in that. I've had enough hot weather to last me for a good long while---the main danger will probably be heat stroke.
