EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

@Akrnaf2Shalom :)
September prices were the lowest of the year at our local auction. Feeder Lambs between 32 and 58 lb went for $2.15 a pound. Slaughter Lambs buzzwole in hair between 65 and 128 lbs went for a $1.70 a pound.
What?! If I was there I would buy one every week! This prices are ridiculous! Do you have grass fed lambs?

I'm making a list of butchering supplies... What have I missed?

PVC cutters
Poultry shears
Nice sharp knife
Heat source/pot
2 tables
Hose that hasn't been in the duck pool/gallon jugs filled by rugrats (mwhahaha)
Cooler filled with ice and water
Bandana for holding back your hair, another to keep anything gross out of your mouth/jic a smell hits too strong. At least one to wipe your hands before scratching your head.

so yesterday i had a massacre:

losses:
2 black calls that were grow outs
2 splash marans
3 white legbars
fuzz (silkied oegb mutt)
curly cue (frizzle EE)
road runner (oegb/silkie)
5 naked necks
Brownie (ayam cross)
Dalmatian (spitzhauben)
1 (or 2) blue/lavender marans

survivors:
1 CCL hen
2 white legbar cockerels
2 FBCM cockerels
1 birchen marans cockerel
1 splash marans pullet
1 fbcm pullet
3 EE hen

?

You all remember the box trap from the cartoons? A piece of cheese under a box, and a string tied to a stick propping it up?
Well, my trap wasn't much different. I almost caught the last rooster numerous times. The final attempt was tying a rope to the door, and hiding behind the side of the building. He saw me, and backed away from the door. I gave up. It's raining anyway. Building the new run wasn't working out either. :D I will succeed one of these days.
