Don't sell!! Raise only what you can eat or cell directly to the end costumer!
We have a say here, if you go to the market and see your neighbor sell in a low price don't buy because you hurt him, and if he is selling in a hige price don't buy because you hurt yourself. The price should be fair to both sides!

WE breed swine within reason. Totally controlled management. Planned birth dates and selected Sows. All of the litter is sold via classified ads except 1 to 2 of the pick of the litter. The proceeds from the litter go toward raising the 1 or 2 chosen feeders, feed for the them and the adults and processor fees. We never profit with the exception of yield in the freezer.
With all the critters.. 100+ chickens/Goats/turkeys/pigs our feed bill averages just under $450 per month.
Chicken and egg sales fill the void most of the time. We have been in the red since IRMA came. Repairs ruined the good thing we had going.
Rome wasn't built over night, but it did blow down over night.
We will never send anything to Auction. Ever. I have seen swine weighing 330# go for 40 bucks. $40 gets you 3.5 bags of feed. It takes almost 6 months to get a pig 300# and not with only 4 bags of feed.

Soooo sad. It's raining again today. No work on the run.

I have said it before the government has extremely regulations for the importation of eggs. It is almost un possible to import even one egg! ( while every big holiday the stupid agriculture department import more then 100, 000, 000 eggs, sometimes from a very quastionbl places like the Ukraine or Turky! ) so EVERY BREED of chiken is brought here by .....ham...ham.. a very winding way...so we don't have your breeds abundance and availability, in this situation people will ready to pay higher prices.
The first breeder that have managed to bring HRIR have made more then 200,000 = shekels, almost 57,000$ from it!

Why do they not have a method of legally importing?

business competitor that can supply, and make profit, with this prices?

In our Zip Code, the breeding level of quantity is as followed..
Horses
Cows
chickens
pigs
goats
lambs.
Very very few lamb in the supermarkets as well.

They do, but it is almost impossible to get over the bureaucracy!
And if you want the truth they are proteating their farmer freind. ... they have decided that importing eggs can ruin their livelihood! That is way we can't have , by low, more then 10 comerciale white chickens!
