EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Just new to me, and getting them up there is not enjoyable. I prefer to have my feet on the ground when I'm waving around power nailers and large boards.
With a 12' span to cover, you're going to have 14' long trusses, at least. It's going to take two people. We hung trusses upside down, resting on the front & back headers, swinging them up into position with a "push board", where they were nailed into position.

Same diff, isn't it?
:smack

:thumbsup Yup, got plenty of hands to do it, thank goodness.

You going to lay out & build the trusses yourself?
Naw, not quite confident enough for that. I'll wait for a weekend and get Mr. Feed Bill Payer to help. He's much better than I am at carpentry and is the reason this thing hasn't fallen over yet. :lau

Trusses aren't hard to build if you have one to use as a pattern.

It's the making the pattern part that's interesting.
We drew out the dimensions on the deck, built the jig on that. Your Mr. Feed Bill Payer should be able to do that pretty quick, then you can get all 7 (2' centers) built w/o having to wait on him
