DH fills the post holes with water then pours the concrete dry into the holes and pokes with a bar.Something just occurred to me; wonder if it would work.
You've heard of setting fence posts with dry Sacrete, letting the underground moisture cause it to set overnight? I've set my posts like that for years! I wonder if you could do the same with a slab on top of the ground; form it up, level the Sacrete, & probably spray the surface a little to make up for the lack of underground moisture. Wonder if it would set up properly.
Not a problem. I raised do for better than 40 years, sometimes having as many as 17 at once; I think I can manage to feed one dog team alright. "Course, they'd have to get used to dry feed; we're short of Caribou & seal meat this season.I don't know Whites.. Also, the guys that built our deck out back (years before we moved in) placed stacked unopen bags of sacrete for all the field supports.
It was a jerry rig but it has held up 25 years.
