Do you lock down at the end of day 17 or 18 for full sized chicken eggs.

WE lock down @ midnight of day 17.
& closely monitor temp/RH conditions.

I know my chickens are supposed to molt, but believe it or not, I haven't seen my chickens molt in the 2 years we've had a big flock. hahaha

Not just Mutts this year. I have some birds that will have to stay home when the rest go to the show the end of the month... I paid for a motel room for them already too...BUT if you're not pretty, You will stay home...They know the rules!

If I were a bird, I'd have to stay home all the time

Our lite molt. Hard to notice a difference. Our turk3ys are leaving mounds of feathers about.

I like to take the ink tube and head out of cheap Bic Pens and stick them in the giant turkey feathers. I signed the declaration of egg dependence once with one.

It is in the 80's outside with a nice breeze. Inside our house is like a Little Giant Incubator.
