EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Yes. That's pretty much what we say in the Midwest. Of course, I was pretty naive & had a young man ask me out for coffee after our concert.(long time ago before marriage) I never liked the bitter taste, so I simply told him that I didn't drink coffee. I wasn't trying to be clever or rude. If he had asked me out to dinner or a movie or even hinted that he liked me, I would have said yes. I'm grateful my hubby was clear when we met. After over 20 years of marriage, we can understand each other and say exactly what we mean.

"Pop" is a noise.
When I lived in Ohio, I wanted to know why they called it pop. Three dictionaries didn't mention pop as anything but a noise or action.
I found another dictionary that had been printed in Ohio. It said, "a slang term for soda."
I had so many people fighting with each other over that!
The library was busy at least!
