Maybe because the 3 layers of gloves is why you can't feel your legs? just saying..

I'm still walking around in a t shirt and sweater outside between houses. I haven't even gotten new winter mitts yet. That's tomorrow. She's bare hands right now...baby!

I looked online last night, and the store had chicks in stock. I CALLED three hours before arriving. "We have Amberlinks and some other kind." Raise your hand if you would even think to have some chicks held back this late in the year (I'm amazed that they are keeping them in stock! Who wants chicks at this time of year?!). Now raise your hand if you would say, "yeah! I want twenty of the other kind of chick you can't identify!"
So I'm the idiot because I didn't ask if they would hold chicks for me.
Poor child didn't get to push the chicks in her cart.

I had a broody in October that I gave several chicks. I thought it would be great since they will be ready to start in the spring.

Broodies are evil incarnate. I have 5 setting right now. I don't want any chicks! Plan B as soon as I can check the eggs.

I forgot to tell you guys! I went to get one of those Husky flexible tube cutters. The associate was not taking my purpose very well. He called over a woman. I'm forbidden to kill my roosters now. She is finding them a home right away.

That's just too funny. Good for them, but I bet they eat chicken lol.

Well, it has happened,, Cold is here.
The good thing is the DUX are frozen in place in the water today. Coyotes, hawks, eagles and the fresh water sharks will eat well today!!!

We officially celebrate " Dux Reduction Day" here with good drinks and food.

BTW 15 degrees is the temp. It appears my hoses have froze solid too. We do not celebrate that..........

I buy from various sources, mostly I buy the powders they sell at the health food stores for smoothies. Spirulina is my favorite after beet powder!

I've wanted to use the bubblewrap trick but I've never had the chance!

Nursery pics will follow in the morning, since the LED bulbs we use are so odd in photos.

It's Husband's old tv from his room when he was living at home haha. We just haven't gotten rid of it because behind it is a huge hole in the wall.
