So. . stupid Southie question. Do I need a separate incubator for them to hatch in? I read a lot of people on here talking about putting their eggs in a Hatcher at lock down. Is this the best thing to do or do most of you just hatch in the same incubator?

So. . .explain what exactly is the Hatcher. . just another incubator set up for lock down temps and no Turner? Or is it something different entirely

You can incubate & hatch in the same incubator. That works fine & saves $ if you only hatch a couple times per year. If you're addicted to hatching (Yes, it can easily happen), you may want to own a 2nd incubator to use as a "hatcher." This is great if you have multiple groups of eggs due to hatch at diff times. Hatching is the messy part, so the
incubator can keep going while the hatcher gets thoroughly cleaned between hatches.

It's a shame we don't have RK around here, or Farm & Fleet, or Menards.

We have all 3 within a 30-45 min drive - but no feed stores or grain mills. The closest one is over an hour away!!!

You must be patient...... you can make plans as you want... the reality will decide.....
