Engine issues.
Unless you've got an "in" with a small engine mechanic, or at least someone that knows how to work on them, it might be cheaper to pick up a used engine somewhere, like Craigslist (or the Canadian equivalent). You'd have to know whether your's has a vertical or horizontal shaft, though.

It's going to be a repair project; we got it free from a friend. If it turns out to be unfixable, then oh boo, we're out... zero dollars.

Thanks Liz!

In random news, I have a day old chick that I assisted in hatching (found it being eaten alive by ants, it was shrink-wrapped for who knows how long?). It has terrible curled toes, I have little chick "casts" on them, trying to help them straighten out, hoping the little thing survives, of course, my daughter is already attached to it!
thats great that you were able to rescue it!!
any pics?

That your new outhouse? :hmm
You don't own a snow blower? In NH? You out of your tree?
LOL, we have a snow blower, but that snow came off the roof of the barn. So the snow is WICKED thick, heavy and compacted, it was a bear to move

actually my dh just fixed the snowblower monday, put a new carb and fuel lines on it, pretty sure its older than you are

We're both pretty sure, then. Myself, I'm pretty sure snow blowers weren't invented when I came along

OOPS! 1925
