EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Oh...I imagine their like a school bus then. You freeze to death first...and then, eventually they warm up. :gig My last gig, I had to drive close to an hour before I got to the first pickup...at LEAST it was warm for them by then. :p

I'm glad the busses are going to gas.
Up there even thinking about a diesel makes me shake.

So what type of chickens do you have? Are you incubating right now?
Did your shopping trip go well for your mom?
I guess Ameraucauna/EEs, OEGBs, Barred Rocks, just a pair, Cuckoo Marans rootie, Icelandic rootie, Silkies, BCM infusion type rootie, a few interesting ones I don't know what they are and lots of crosses of the above. :lau I think there are 80 or so hens and about 50-60 rooties. And 24 guineas.

Not hatching. Yet. :p But all this hatching talk has ignited the bug. I think I should wait for warmer weather though.

We got everything we needed to for my MIL. Pickup tool at the assistance store...$14-$30. Pickup tool at Dollarama...$2.50 I think. I've been using mine for quite a while. I think it'll work out for her fine...and be $20 less. :clap

It can be done but there's paperwork (Dept of AG) and it has to be NPIP ... Will check to see if I can find the file ....

Legally all state to state transfers have to be NPIP. I've know people that have moved to HI and their dogs had to be quarantined for months. You're allowed to visit them, but I would never put my dogs through that. You can take your dogs to USVI and as long as the shots are up to date you are good to go.
