It's out!!!! I ended up helping it just a bit. It was ready.

Total of 4 chicks from 7 eggs still alive when I put them in the bator. They survived going cold, getting crushed, jumbled into a feed sack and riding three miles to my house. It's been 84 hours since I set them, and all were internally pipped at first candle.

Well, next spring she will be ready. That is a March kid that just went to the buck Saturday. Melody and Ruby are meat goats that are due. GOOD morning everyone. I am not looking forward to the time change. I wish we would stay on daylight saving time so I could at least get off in the light occasionally. With standard time I go to work in the dark and get home in the dark for months. I am moving the chickens next weekend since they won't get out often anyway with the time change since they will have to be locked up for a couple of weeks. No kid yet. Maybe by the time I get home. Definite discharge.

Hello Dax! I know what you mean about going to work in the dark and getting home in the dark, it's terrible.

My goat decided that the empty second trough was a great place to rest

I caught all my cockerels yesterday & put them in the small run, plus a pullet I thought was a rooster 'til this morning when one of the cockerels ran her down & tried to mount her. Moved all the pullets (except the one I missed) into the large run. That'll leave the rooster with 10 hens all to himself; he should be a happy camper about now. He'll probably drop over dead with a heart attack, but he'll die with a smile on his face!
