I caught all my cockerels yesterday & put them in the small run, plus a pullet I thought was a rooster 'til this morning when one of the cockerels ran her down & tried to mount her. Moved all the pullets (except the one I missed) into the large run. That'll leave the rooster with 10 hens all to himself; he should be a happy camper about now. He'll probably drop over dead with a heart attack, but he'll die with a smile on his face!

Quote: It may actually be good for them in regards to breeding in the spring. I think part of the program in big hatcheries is to rotate roos periodically. I would have to research that again if you want more info though as I dont think I saved anything on it.
