The chicks are only about four weeks old, but they desperately need to go outside! Today they won’t stop knocking over the water dish. It isn’t that they don’t have enough room, it is just that they want to fly. They go to one side, and fly into the cover. Fortunately, it’s just a sheet of plastic loosely draped over the box. No resistance, so no harm. Then they go to the side where the food is, and launch themselves off of the log. They land in the water or food, and spill it. Then they get loud because they are wet, and want more water.
I really wanted to wait until it was dry outside, but tomorrow might be the day that I get them out there.
