HAPPY HATCH DAY!View attachment 1287984
Tons of unzipping but this little dude decided 4:30am was his desired hatch window.
Lonely in the brooder while his hatch mates play catch up.

I don't even have my broader set up its all dusty and just a mess. I set my eggs from the 17th to the 19th and one is Zipping right now .Its in a hurry so I guess I will have to get busy in the morning .

I hope you leave a bread crumb trail to find you're way back-:fl
This thread is dying .......
I've been distracted. Should I make it a point to post a tid-bit here and there? I'll make a mental note on my agenda.
Shalom Benny. I hope you are well.:frow

I kind of like a last minute brooder set up. I'm not superstitious but, it seems like I have higher hatch rates when I'm scrambling to accommodate a rapid hatch. Having the brooder ready a week in advance is like putting the cart in front of the horse. Jinxing my hatches by over confidence that I am needing that giant pool size brooded v.s. a smaller tub, because unforeseen events during the final stages of development during absorption may come into play.
Don't count your eggs before they hatch.. w/my expectations anymore. Some of my best batches were from the results last minute prep.
:D
Good morning running late this am.

Just wanted to say the eggs made it here yesterday morning. Box was not double boxed and wasn’t a usps box it looked like an accordion however all 12 eggs were intact. I only bid on 6. Some are obviously pullet eggs. I haven’t checked their AC’s yet but judging by the box that will be a mute issue at this point.

Oh and it’s raining, will be on and off for next 10 days

ETA guys at the PO were extremely helpful with the eggs. They held them for me in their break room because it was warmer there for them.
As I read this this morning I had to do a double take.. "Some are obviously pullet eggs"..lol.
If I had a Rooster that laid eggs, I could be doing the entire Talk Show circuit right now.:gig
I know what you meant, but at first it caught me off guard & I had to read it again. I wish you much success on your yield! COME ON PULLETS:fl
Lovely.

Our ground is white at the moment.
Thanks a lot Mikie! 5:00 am this morning it was 29*F! Major frost blanket. Winter wonderland in Florida on March 8th. It is now 7:50 am and only 31*.. I did my chores and dashed back indoors.:rant
12 inches of green ground here.

AC’s were fine. Very fresh eggs.
