Good morning Connie it's 58 degrees in Southwest Missouri with the sun coming out. Of course it Frozen the twenties two days ago but Missouri doesn't care.

My new baby duckies went back under a light bulb last night. Unusual for us to have a frost covered roof and lawn in late March. Oh the bother..

We didn't have a significant snow all Winter 'til there was only 1.5 hr. left of Winter. WTH!

Between dealing with babies needing antitoxin and does threatening early labor I didn't get hardly any rest and let's hope I don't drive this truck into anything today. While I worry about her kidding when I'm not home.

This was our first year off from kidding in 5 yrs. March was always our target window. With this cold snap, I guarantee you that would have triggered labor in my girls. Them em-wah would be up all night impatiently waiting on stand by with dry towels and heat lamps.
Same with our Sows. Always a cold spurt, this time of year. Does something to their brains and metabolisms.
I got to sleep in until 6, because of Buck passed away. Kidless Connie this year..

You were right about too bad we don't live closer because I sure have enough bucks this year. They're nice to not just you know bucks because they're bucks.

I know that in the late nineties and early 2000’s, we had snowstorms (storm = about a foot of snow) into May where I was.

I did get somewhat good news yesterday. I had a culvert collapsing on the end of the horseshoe driveway. The estimate I got was for the worst case scenario, replacing the whole thing. Once they got digging they determined they would only need to replace a portion, about a third of it. So they got all that done yesterday, now to get the driveway repaved.
