It is the transition period between winter to summer so the winter fruits are disappearing (less citrus, parsimony, Apples, bananas, mangos, cherries )
And the start of the summer fruits watermelon strawberrys and in the near future apricots, plums, peach, grapes etc etc, I love the summer fruits!

Do you have the yellow-meated watermelon there, or the humongous strawberries?

Strawberry pie even better. Some of those really large ones can get a little bitter, though. I was thinking a bit ago that if they were round they'd make good billiard balls
