What do you do about loner ducks? Aretha Franklin was the only female “Pekin” from TSC the first year they sold Muscovies as Pekin. So that would make her two. She had a boyfriend (he’s not the one I ate ) but I only wanted one drake, and that was my Pekin JoJo. Janice Joplin (aka Banty) is fine with her parents. Aretha is occasionally mated, and I’ve never seen anyone chase her off.
She seems so lonely, and it’s breaking my heart. Any suggestions on the why and what to do?

Never had just one. Get the minimum from TSC and eat the extra drakes? Order sexed ducks from hatchery? Look for ducks for sale on craigslist?

Haven't dealt with that, sorry. I do have one kind-of loner duck, but she seems happy—just distracted. She's the one that would get lost as a duckling because she'd become absorbed in catching flies and forget where the flock was.
