EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

X2! I miss 80's! It's 52° and rainy here.

I just mixed up a jar of swarm attractant. I'm going to bait one of the hives today. Even though it's rainy, it's going to be warm for at least a couple more days and I don't want to miss the opportunity to catch one.
I wish I could have a hive here but the California buckeyes pollen is apparently poisonous to the bees.

I just bought it and it had a 30 day return policy :(
I've had it just over the 30 day period. It successfully hatched 1 of my birds and 1 egg from Fire.
Sounds like it's just a bad thermostat, which you can replace yourself. I think that's all that's really wrong with mine

TJ!
You're alive after all!
How ya been?
Whites! :hugs
Barely alive! I'm busy with work again now, but for a couple months battled with a complicated appendicitis. I'd probably be dead if it weren't for the fact that my surgeon is a friend of mine. Long story, but recovering now.
How are you? Surviving the cold?

Glad you survived. Adult appendicitis is flat-out scary. I'm hoping the worst of the cold is gone, finally. 68* here by 6PM...warmest of the day.

That's closer than Deer Run; they're only 1/2 hour from me; 3 hr. for you. What direction is South Fork?

It's mostly south of me, slightly west.

Stupid dogs got another one of my hens last night or this morning. I'm so fking pissed off.... ARGH! Hubby even got up early this morning to try to shoot them when they snuck over here, but as soon as they heard our front door, they took off.

Yes, I know, and I don't think I could do that. It's a horrible way for a dog to die and as much as I want to shoot them, I'd prefer to end their life humanely and with out suffering.
Head/brain...no pain, no suffering. Dead when they hit the ground
