I sure expected it too. I run temps higher in the little incubators which seems to help, or thermometers are always on cool side. I don’t think they are very well insulated. But I’ve never had a cabinet incubator to compare with.Wow, maybe the power outage didn't set them back!
Maybe poor insulation in my Hova Bators is the reason for the variance in temps for both of them, even with them completely closed up for days at a time; viewing windows let me check everything w/o popping the top. I always thought the variance was 'cause the thermostat is so touchy. Being 100% styrofoam, & fairly thick, at that, I'd think they'd be sufficiently insulated.I sure expected it too. Me too however I’ve found that putting a folded towel under the styrofoam incubator that the temps were better kept. Also I just replaced my old styrofoam one. The new styrofoam is much better built.Maybe poor insulation in my Hova Bators is the reason for the variance in temps for both of them, even with them completely closed up for days at a time; viewing windows let me check everything w/o popping the top. DW flew into Denver in the middle of Winter one year & was surprised to see the natives running around in nothing more than sweaters@BullChick
Good morning Abi. Hope you’re temps are warming up back there. Brother is in Philadelphia job related. Says it cold there. Course he’s from San Diego Ca so we have a different idea of cold.
Maybe they’d were having a warmer spell?DW flew into Denver in the middle of Winter one year & was surprised to see the natives running around in nothing more than sweaters
