EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I'm awake at 12:34 am. DH culled a 8 week old blue Australorp that had a backwards leg with a 410, 10 mins ago. How can anybody sleep with that noise?
Android tablet myself back to sandman territory.
I’m awake at3:00am. How can anyone sleep with the racket of a hatching chick. Last one of 4 to hatch. It was the first to pip. 24 plus hours of waiting after pip.

Exactly! and that is the exact reason why they have to REAPLACE the dam.. thing and stop trying to FIX it!
Well, you'd think so. The bad part is it does a good job at what it's intended to do, & if the factory used any QC at all before it was shipped, all but one of these problems would be non-existent. The one exception is the hydraulic cylinder; it gets hot to the touch after a while...uncomfortably so. Hydraulic cylinders shouldn't do that. I've logged my share of hours running log splitters, and never had that problem, 'til now.

The local shop owner told me yesterday that he was going to call them & suggest (if they'll even talk to him),they either send me a new one, or refund my money.

The replaced one might have worse problems. :idunno
True enough! I ran into that problem years ago with a pair of Yard Man riding mowers. I bought one new, & before long it quit going forward (Peerless transmission defect). I had the service man out here 5 times to fix it (Lemon Law only required 3 times) before I told them to bring me a replacement. Of course, the replacement had the same problem. I haven't owned a Yard Man product since. The company was taken over by MTD, as were most other residential mowers, including the International Cub Cadet. MTD has recently sold out, I understand; I don't know who took over.

If I don't soon get some satisfaction, I'm going to use the Lemon Law again, if possible.
