I think I got the rest of trusses stacked closer as well.
It’s very dry. Heat warnings as well as fire warning. And so it begins.

And it's been so wet on this side that the farmers are hurting; can't get onto the fields. Corn all over the area in standing water.
Grocery prices will be thru the roof...like they aren't already.

Incredible. I knew you guys were getting rain just didn’t know how much. This is usually our dry hot spell. Air tanker flew over about 4 hours ago. Not sure where the fire is/was but they don’t fly practice runs here in the summer

There's an area out back, near the coops, that's only been mowed once this year...the first time I mowed. It's so wet I'd have even worse ruts than I made when I WAS able to mow. Guaranteed to stick it & have to snatch it out with the truck & 40' of cable; I'll pass!

There’s a fine balance here on time as well. At this point it’s too dry to finish the break but earlier it was to wet even with a 4 wheel drive tractor. It’s been stuck before. Hours of digging. Won’t try and make that mistake again.

For a bit but I had to share this.
Fast FWD to date.. our house has new occupants.. Power bill went from $168 to .
DH completely rebuilt our clothes dryer to make it more energy efficient. Never had the need. We use the Sun to dry clothes. Trying to make everybody happy.. except hubby freaking on the power bill.
He made a bumper sticker and stuck it next to the start button on the dryer.View attachment 1438363

Would like to do the panels. However with the tree cover we have it will never pay back the original cost of install.

I was just thinking yesterday that her surgery had to be getting real close. That poor kid's been through the wringer for way too long, but ya gotta hand it to her; she's got guts & keeps bouncing back. Next time you talk to her, tell her she's always on my mind & in my prayers.

She said thanks and she'll try to get online when she can sit longer.
