Wow, I didn't know that you could be arrested for attempting suicide. I kind of figured it was so that police and EMT could legally go into a home where someone was committing suicide, i.e. a "crime in progress".An 18-year-old shot her face off, and is now the recipient of a face transplant. It’s a cool idea. Kind of hard to see the face laying on the tray, but it’s definitely going to be an important surgery for many.
Do ya know what my issue is? I think you can guess!!
Attempting suicide is illegal (crazy IMO, but anyway...). You are either put in a psychiatric hospital, or arrested. This girl is rewarded. The article talks about how we should feel sorry about her time spent since losing her face, and all she has been through. Not a word on the 33-yr-old that died. I’m more interested in her.
I have a potential donor for you,Wow, I didn't know that you could be arrested for attempting suicide. I kind of figured it was so that police and EMT could legally go into a home where someone was committing suicide, i.e. a "crime in progress".
I wonder what it'd be like to get a new face? Strange, I bet.
In NJ, we were reminded to return our books to the library, or be arrested. It was a real thing. Not common, but a few officers felt the need to uphold the law (despite knowing it was ridiculous).Wow, I didn't know that you could be arrested for attempting suicide. That's nuts. Nobody I know that has attempted suicide has been arrested for it. Note to self: don't try to die in America. In NJ, we were reminded to return our books to the library, or be arrested. Point being, Americans really are arrested for suicide attempts. I’ve known a few people over the years.
Oregon is the place to be. But there’s a catch. You have to live there for a certain period of time.I swear I heard a report last week about Americans going to Canada for assisted suicides.
