So that's what he's been up to. Vacationing in Alaska was just his excuse.

I took Aretha off her nest (which she went back to), and she got poop on me.
I removed the front panel to expose her to the sun, and pulled back the fencing so the others can go in, and bother her.
I had an Ameraucana years ago that was broody. She didn’t get up with her babies though. I thought she was waiting on the last egg while the co-broody took all the chicks. Turned out that the last egg was rotten ( ), and she had a broken leg. That in mind, I have watched Aretha for signs of a broken leg. Turns out she’s just a crazy broody.

Duckling has pierced ears now. She was very clear on what kinds of new earrings she wanted. Then I began showing her options. She learned how to put things in the online cart, and I now have a million different earrings she likes.
My favorites are the carousel horse and the purple winking emoji.
