It's rediculous! I hid inside most of the day and when I had to go outside, I was mad I missed most of a warm day!

Looking at that BR she sure is eating good at yer place!!! My BR hens NEVER went broody now that I am thinking about broodies!!

Yep! It's partly because they're getting their real feathers and the baby down hasn't fallen out yet, making them look bigger than they are. I know! It's giant! Funny you should mention her, she's shooyou (my nephew named her) she's kind of an odd ball, she looks like a barred rock but her feet are white The guy we got her from had cuckoo marans and barred rocks so I thought she was a cuckoo at first but she definitely has a barred and not cuckoo patern. So far none of my hens have shown broodiness.

I remember the oddest things. For instance, two years ago I put a folder in a spot for safe keeping for a day or so. I still remember where it is. I remember random conversations from years ago that have no use....
