Hope you have a good fire going. I wish I was ear mine instead of being n this giant tin can.

My son called in last night; told them he wasn't going to drive. It was going to -50* with the wind chill factor, and diesels, I hear, are prone to freeze up below minus 20*; he wasn't taking a chance of breaking down & having to wait in an unheated truck for a service truck to show up. Can't say as I blame him.

Good morning all! This is what it looks like around here. I'm not ready for the cold though. It's supposed to hit us as soon as this front pass... Which it's doing right now.

She is my favorite hen, she is blind in one eye, and have a crooked back and neck from hatching,
She have a soft corrner in my hurt, so she gets the best treats!

Looks good to me especially the lemons. I'm glad your favorite hand is doing well. It's interesting which animals grab our hearts.

Prayers for all you guys up north. Especially for banty because if it is supposed to be in the seventies below zero with the wind chill tonight up in the Dakotas and Minnesota it's going to be really bad where she is hope you guys all stay warm As you can. Where I grew up the only time they ever closed school was a day that it was 70 below zero outside I am just glad all I have left of that is the memory.
I am also glad my kids aren't due till Saturday. It is supposed to be up near 50

The ground is hard enough for you to get the concrete out there today right, but you can't pour it and tomorrow it'll warm up and you can't get out again
