EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Still putting one foot in front of the other, still looking down to see grass; could be worse. You?
Yeah, could be worse. I'm still busy as ever with glass and animals. My body is not cooperating much with how physical my work is. I thought I was busy because I take on more than I used to. Turns out I'm busy because the same amount of work is taking me so much longer!

Sorry if this is off-topic, but what do you do with the chicks that hatch when you are calibrating a new incubator? I want to run a few test hatches with cheap local eggs before buying expensive shipped eggs, but that means I will have a small number of chicks of different ages that I don't really want.

You sell them, keep them, or butcher the when appropriate size. :duc

You have much green grass? Mine is just starting to green up. I'd love to have some grass that needs cutting.
I’ll get you a picture, you can come and mow all you want. Mower provided. Another tree fell nothing damaged, roof of equipment room was hit. That’s what I worked on yesterday instead of digging up part of septic that isn’t working again. That will have to be today unless another tree fell.
House repairs from last tree down are getting done. Rain has definitely hampered efforts.

Spring onions are up, naturally, & I've seen grass that's been mowed already. Some places here could stand mowing, but my mower's battery is still in the basement & it's new set of blades is still on the porch; I'm still procrastinating.
