Highly agree. I grew up around pitbulls, my uncle was a breeder for a while. Sweet dogs if trained well. Most people don't bother and then wonder why they aren't well behaved.

That's true for most dogs though.

We can agree that it isn't a dog problem but a owner one!
And that is why a governmental supervision is needed. It's needed for ensure that the dog gets its minimal requirements (here if the dog is neglected the owners can face up to 6 months of prison, and hige fine ) and to ensure the public security, because dog can be a very deadly in the wrong hands.

The thing that I just don't understand and hate is the number of people that feed colonies of feral cats. And I don't feel as though the TNR (trap neuter release) program is having any impact.
A couple of my friends volunteer at an animal control center. They neuter between 40 and 100 cats every other Sunday. Then they rerelease them to their old neighborhoods to terrorize wildlife.
I used to rarely see a cat here. There is a retirement home behind my property that was feeding about 10 feral cats. Then they stopped and the cats looked for a new home.
I'm pro euthanasia. There is no shortage of cats but there are many species of threatened wildlife.

My friends mom & dad feed their stray cats. I thought their neighbors must hate them until I found out they were also catching them & spay/neutering them. They were still running the streets, but they were being fed & not procreating. I've never known anyone else who's done that, but I thought it was very honorable.

By law, I believe leash laws apply to cats as well but for some reason, that's ignored.
I don't get it.
Why do cats get a pass.

Are there any dog breed that you don't allowed to keep?
Here there are 8 dog breeds that if you kerp them you can find yourself spending 1 year in prison.
Rottweiler, pitbull and Dogo argentino are some of them.

I've spent considerable time around dogs, from my toddler days. Pits, Rotties, & all the rest aren't mean & nasty by birth; they're trained like that by their low-life owners. I've known Pits that I'd take every day of the week & twice on Sunday over some Cocker Spaniels & 2lb ankle biters I've been around.

Whatever happened to freedom of speech?! I have a friend who had to have surgery yesterday, and was on suicide watch. A young nurse was listening in, and a comment he made while on the phone with me about Robin Williams was taken out of context. His worry about the amputation was compounded with various people threatening him about having him committed!

Doc's took my brother's big toe, then the foot, then the leg to just below the knee, finally to above the knee....liquid gangrene & diabetes, dying of cancer of the lungs, kidneys, lympf nodes & brain, anyway. Surprised he's still with us.

The problem is that if you mis educate a Pincher Doberman you have an annoying hysterical dog, the same with a pitbull, and you have a killing machine. The dogs payes because of the human stupidity! It sucks but it is what it is.
