EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I pitched all of the Pekin eggs. Not one was fertile. I’d hoped! I still have a few Pekin/Muscovy eggs in there. Not seeing anything in them either, but it’s still early. I’m really hoping the other ducks come back soon. I keep envisioning thirty fluffy yellow ducklings waddling into the coop after their parents.

Sorry to jump in on this thread, but it looks like you all are pretty informative. What's the longest you would keep eggs in the incubator that have not hatched. On day 23, thought I saw a wiggle when I did water test, but now I'm not sure. Don't want any exploding eggs. :sick

Usually by day 25, what's going to hatch should've by then. There are rare exceptions but it's not likely. What are you hatching?

My eggs didn't hatch on the correct day either. I left them in there for a couple more days and nothing happened. The temperature was too low and they didn't make it. I could be different for you but that's what happened to me. The weird thing is that the chicks were half alive when I broke them open Low temp I guess.

Sounds like you need... A SNAKE!!
I need a snake. Quick, someone get me a snake.
You havent saved any fowl have you? lol I hope things look up very soon Raz! I wont go into a lecture on life for you, hugs and chin up!
 I haven't. I'm thinking about getting some before we stop getting them in September, though. Things are about to get rough and I need a bright spot to look forward to. Actually, I might go ahead and start getting the stuff for a gecko.
Dang wish you were closer we could work on that insomnia issue together, was wrapping soap all day and all night, my neck and back hurt so bad, now I try to get on weebly to add the new ones and dang if it keeps crashing! Ill try again in the am, if I keep it up now I will throw this out in the rain!!

Here is what I tagged and shrink wrapped, about 30 of each some more some less. either way I hate wrapping, so time consuming. The new blue white one is cotton and amber, wow it smells so clean, I put one flower directly into the bathroom and Husband stole three for work! The chamomile with the momma and baby goat I made specifically for Campinshaw <3

I need a link. :D

I'm just going to come out and say it, because I don't think there's ever going to be a time when I actually feel like saying it. I'm in denile even though it's staring me in the face. My dad has officially been diagnosed with cancer in his lymph nodes. It was in his tonsils, but it had already started spreading before his surgery to remove them. It's a rare cancer, made even rarer by the way it's behaving. In the next few weeks he'll be starting chemo.

At this point, I don't know how to feel. I've taken over all of my dad's chores so he doesn't have to worry about it. He can't lift the feed bucket for the horse and pigs since he had surgery.

I wish someone could tell me how I'm supposed to feel.
