How did you hatch go?

I’ve had three recently, the first went ok considering the incubator problems. I realize now to incubate blue and white eggs separately from brown eggs due to porosity. Got thirteen but 9 are cockerels. The last two batches went great, 18 and 20. And one late set egg that went through a 20 hour power outage just hatched!!

The one I was thinking of was to which way to lockdown eggs. Upright or flat and you did 1/2 and 1/2

While playing outside, it came to our attention that there are buds on the lilac tree, and the rose bush is actually flowering too. It seems no one had roses this year, and we’ve already had snow. Craaazy weather! It was fifty-something today, but the temperature is plummeting, and we should have enough snow in the morning to build a small snowman.

Didn’t seem to make a difference, I know now not to incubate blue or white eggs w brown eggs
