HI LINDA!!!! :hugs

Morning chaos!! Morning Sally!!!! And everyone else.

One narrow piece of siding to go, then it's up the ladder time again to get what I can't reach from the ground or the 6' step ladder. I may wind up waiting for Spring to cover the paper on the roof.
I think you'll be sorry if you don't cover the paper soon. Leaving it exposed all winter means you'll likely have to replace it come spring.

I made a deal with my daughter that if she takes care of all of the indoor pet chores (feeding, watering, litter boxes, cleaning fish tank, cleaning up messes from animals, etc) for 70 days straight, without missing any days, that we will get some goats. We made a big calendar on our dry erase board to track her progress. If she misses a day she has to start over on the count.

So.... what kind of goats should we get? We only want them as pets, but it would be great if they help keep the pond overgrowth under control too. I only want to get 2. Suggestions? @daxigait and @Sally Sunshine and anyone else with goats ? ?
How old is she? Is she excited about the challenge?

...

Great, good luck with the rest of the hatch.
6 pips so far of the 12. 5 hours remaining.

Hmmm... I think we would do better to not have milk goats. Do you have to milk all female goats when they get old enough?
Mammals (mammary glands) produce milk when they have offspring. When they don't, they won't.

I had an egg, on day 24, similar to the one you are describing. We tried to assist it to hatch and it died shortly after we tried to rbing it into this world. our other egg, hatched fine, on it's own.

When we were able to take it all apart and look closer, it had a lot wrong with it.

If a baby can't get out of the shell on it's own, be prepared for it to die when you try to help it :(
I couldn't have said it better.

pretty eggies Paddler!
Thanks

The Jaerhons are a wonderful white egg breed. They're a small tight feathered bird that can handle extreme cold and extreme heat.

sweet!!!

I would not touch that egg unless you candle and see an internal pip! We can help you get set back up for the next batch there are a few things we can run by you to try to fix the issue besides the upsidedown eggs, if its day 24 your temps were too low, and I bet too high humidity. we can go over that when your ready to set again.

first of all, the box is reused so it could have been looking like that before they left home.... Next, TIP when you candle or HANDLE shipped eggs, PLEASE PLEASE be gentle and keep those air cells upright! if they are loose you are doing them no good.

from what I can see you dont even have any jiggly air cells? they look nice and fresh yes!
I only saw *one* jiggly air cell, and it was extremely mild. The lady told me her eggs were usually beefy and handled traveling well.

I cannot candle the eggs upside down, my klutziness would end up with multiple dropped eggs, which would destroy any chance at all, of them hatching. I would cry, if I dropped eggs.
