EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Oh come on, how often do you have to post something like "Guess what?" needing a "What?". Just tell us you are excited or whatever and why. Then we can skip the tedious " What?"
I know Sally has mentioned this before.
BTW I am excited for you that they are developing. How many have made it this far?

You mean it was taught in grade school.

Not a lot. Where are you camping? Anywhere I've been?

Did you get it 3 years ago or only ask for it then?

Not sure yet. I haven't opened the incubator. I have to get their brooder set up and find space in a building for 9 older chicks that need more room.

Yes, but sadly, even they should be able to write in complete sentences with good grammar and spelling. That is taught in grade school.
did you know that a lot of kids these days going to college, can't read or write coherently???

@ChickenCanoe. Let's see, we will be in the Mark Twain National Forest, Natural bridge, and Cassville area.
I got my drill three years ago, and I have used it a ton. It is my favorite, and the best tool ever.

Thanks for the welcome and suggestion. I didn't realize this was more of a fun chat thread, just posted my question after reading all the introductory articles on the first page :-).

Float test- appropriate level of floating but not much movement, what we did see could have just been unsettled room, dogs and kids walking about. Maybe I'll try again tonight when things are quieter. I'm willing to give it more time just with the staggered hatch I've no idea if this chick is very overdue or just a day. If we ever let a broody sit again I will never, ever forget to mark the eggs right away so we'll know if she adds more! We're thrilled with the two chicks she's hatched and would love a third but these two are pretty wonderful.

The chicks and mama are so sweet!

Ask any incubation questions. You'll get good answers here!

:celebrate Congratulations! This is a hatching and chick help thread. There is just a lot of time to kill in between that we fill with chatter. Especially for those pacing with a hatch :lau :fl. For the eggs left. Jump in anytime we love to help.

Adorable.

Are both hatchlings silkies?
