Desperation has me asking everyone. "Can" I get a plumber? The only one to respond will charge $150 for coming out.
I had a handyman "fix" it. He changed the gasket(? the rubber thing) and told me that it's normal to drip for a few seconds and not to over tighten. It was leaking again within a week. The guy is too old and overworked to come back.
Do you know what could be wrong?

Check with manufacture. Sometimes they will send parts free. Some have very good warranties.

Other than that the seat that the rubber washer sits on maybe damaged as well. Changing the washer won't help that. There is a seat tool that you can buy to remove it but it may be too corroded to remove. Suggest new faucet.

@AlilSassy
 any idea why your sebrights are dying on you? Did you talk to the place you got them from? (did you say you got them from IDEAL??)

:hit I am sorry. Are they going to replace any? I know how it feels. I lost a bunch of shipped chicks in a day and a half in March. 17

Haven't got a response yet, it is the weekend, and they only ship M-W, so they may not be available on Sat/Sun, though they were real fast about questions I asked last week and day of shipping... it says notify within 48hrs, and I have been...if anymore are gonna due they need to today...which looks like they are. I'm wondering if I have something here that they can't fight, or they were already so compromised it's just too late... even the silver one that was so lively is now just laying there. The golds had been good to go within hours of me making sure they at least drank, and one died last night, the last gold i keep finding on its side... it still pecking at the food and drinks when I put it at the water, but closes its eyes immediately after :( All poop in the brooder they are in is looking solid, light brown/tan...

My daughter let the chickens out of the coop between 8-9. I went out at 1130 to give tomatoes to the chickens and do my normal lunch headcount.. and there was a dry baby hanging out with mom in the corner.

I'm assuming she gave birth between 9-10am. She was not showing signs of impending labor yesterday, but I guess she was in labor. My daughter commented after she saw the baby "oh, that's why she was laying in the corner like that."
