I bought plastic cereal containers. My kids won't shut bags, plus we have mice.... so they go in a plastic container for everyone's safety. the kids opened a box of kix once... left it open and a mouse knocked the whole thing down and it spilled over my entire kitchen floor.

Then, the cats caught the mouse, and you can imagine what a cat-scene that resembled something from tom and jerry scattering kix everywhere.

The downside to living in the country, is mice and the occasional roof rat, decide to come inside for safer living.

The Pennsylvania Unite thread is fairly short. You also know who Dennis is from the old thread and the hatchalongs. He doesn't ship at all, but you can at least ask him to keep you in the loop, and go from there.

Yeah, I rarely eat them, but sometimes I am too tired to cook for Duckling and me at the same time, and too hungry to wait until she goes to bed. The wait has gotten more difficult recently. She goes to bed much later than she did a few weeks ago.

I didnt either until I tasted Pheebe and Pequots mommas milk, I could have guzzled a gallon it was so cold and tasted wonderful. The local goats milk I buy for pups tastes NOTHING like it and they have big milk goats. it is actually gaggable, I didnt like it at all! ok I will egg you and then do itso its out of ya face, who is radioman?

Diet plays a huge roll in the flavor of the milk - too. I bet if you compared feeds, the little goats were fed differently people who sell goats milk, generally go for most production, and not necessarily flavor, where-as us little hobby farmers, care about taste.

as far as the worms, I so feel for you, errrr ummmm not quite the right words in this discussion lmao!! anyways yes diet does I have read and so does keeping it cool as soon as it comes out of the goat. Some use ice bucket with a bucket in it or a ice brick right in the bucket with milk.

I used to worry about the ice thing and getting it cold right away, but in milking so few goats you'll get things milked and in fridge in plenty of time.

Come oooooooon eggs! I honestly was terrified. The dog has developed a fear of storms, but he was in bed with me (I guess he felt the storm coming) so he stayed calm. It is a powerful thing to have a mutt trust me that much. He was my husband's dog, but he has always demanded me when he was afraid or hurt. How are you?
