That surprises me.

Funny story, and i'm sure a lot of people are going to be looking at me all weird like, for sharing this.

But I blurted out to my husband when we were driving in the car "do you have a problem with the idea of a wife being property of her husband." when he said no, I proposed to him. Figured anyone who could handle my weird thoughts, was a keeper.

Where it came from though, was my obsession with historical romance novels. I loved the relationship dynamics in most of the books, and it was hard for me to put it into words, I just knew it was an "old fashioned" relationship style... and that's what I wanted in my partner.

Of course, when I was trying to find the words to describe it, it came out funny, but my husband didn't bat an eye at my weird comment, so I asked him to marry me.
