EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Good morning all!!! And special good morning to MC, Duckling and Spider and the member of the "Broken Wing Club".:gig :hugs
When I woke up Bill was sleeping on the couch from when he got home last night. Joel Olsteen was on in the background. I don't usually listen to him but in the short time I heard him he said something powerful about worry and giving control back to God. I have been consumed by life in general-especially my hand and it not getting better. I need to put my faith back where it belongs instead of trying to fix things myself. God has my back and everything will be ok. So happy day to all!!! :love

Sorry about the hen Whites-I went out to feed mine and one has a bad leg. Just gonna let her chill and see how she does-so far eating and drinking well.

kajira is a word from a science fiction novel, if you call me a nickname, Kaj is usually what people call me, so I got confused when you used the last part.

I'm emma, if you'd like to remember my name. hehe

Nice- I have a chicken named Emma!

LOL!

Well, I busted my left wing, but I'll pretend the emoji is using its right.

Agreed. add a live stock guardian dog to the premise, and unwanted humans won't be allowed on the property line.

Mine's only 5 months old and went NUTS when strange people came onto our property the other day. If she'd been full grown, she probably would have done more than just bark at them. (she put herself between the strangers and us/kids.)

Whenever the shepherds come through with their dogs same as yours, they've never tried going after me. Oh they will bark and hold their ground but haven't attacked. Except they are so noisy and furry I'd like to get one. I certainly wouldn't try doing anything to get them too attack though.

I know a lot of little kids right now, with the name Emma - which is funny, since I never met anyone when I was growing up, with the name Emma, or Abbie for that matter... now every is Emma, Abbie, Marie, etc.

I love ours. Our only problem is she won't come when called if she's off meandering around. That is the only downfall of a live stock guardian dog. The only come if they feel like it. We always have to go get her. LOL

Thanks. My good layers historically live about three years, and she was pushing it.
That's good to know. I wanted to invest in more EE or RIR hens down the road. I love the cochins, but my experience has been with a broody cochin hen that has sat in the same spot for 3 months.
